dear poems,
for this episode i sat down with my very first guest. we had a beautiful conversation on community from a black austrian perspective and wrote some poetry at the end.
i don’t want to give too much away. just tune in.
yours,

ps: our opinions are just a snapshot of the moment and open to change.
pps: i don’t really believe africans and black people abroad have different values. that’s way too generalizing. in so many aspects, we also have shared values. it all depends on the specific people that we’re talking to. it might also depend on the generation. a lot of the misogyny and queerphobia in africa actually came from the west through colonization, although pre-colonial times also shouldn’t be romanticized.
